The Warrior Group Unveiled
The third episode ended with a major cliffhanger and introduced the initial group of characters who will separate from the main group to embark on their own adventure, distinct from the additional parties.
The combat-focused team includes Teor Pridesire (portrayed by the voice actor), Thimble (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (Whitney Moore), the cleric (Sam), and the mysterious adventurer (the actor).
Dividing the Cast
Considering an extensive roster, it was obvious from the start that having everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.
That’s why, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Prelude, intertwining the personal journeys before dividing into three distinct groups: Fighters, Strategists, and Questers.
Characteristics of the Combat Party
Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for adventurers who prefer a classically intense combat and conflict-driven gameplay experience where diplomatic options are scarce.
Upon first impression, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander Halovar might appear mismatched, but the actions of episode 3 make it clear why these five characters are best suited for the combat party.
Why They Must Go
To begin with, the party understands precisely where to go next after a violent opening clash with The Crow Keepers.
Casimir of the deceased character—whose passing started the campaign’s events—exploited the foes for his own means, breaking into the hidden lair, assaulting the character, and stealing all the enchanted items to dispose of.
Casimir then settled his obligations and ran away to a Halovar stronghouse in the northern region, north of the city, with Cyd Pridesire close behind.
Character Drivers
Additionally, each character has a individual motive to exit Dol-Makjar:
- The rogue, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, seeks revenge.
- The adventurer is familiar with the northern area and cautions that it is a hostile location.
- The warrior and The healer, having defied his family’s wishes to kill the target and instead freed him, have no other options.
- Yet, their status as prominent individuals in the powerful family could enable the group reach places they normally couldn’t.
- Furthermore, The grateful character swore a life debt to The savior for his rescue and will now go with him anywhere.
Pursued by Authorities
In addition, all of them are sought by the authorities that rule Dol-Makjar for a range of causes, making lingering locally dangerous:
- The agile adventurer and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
- The strong figure and Wicander betrayed House Halovar and the legion of demons they are partnered with.
- The fighter is targeted for elimination by House Halovar.
This leaves them little choice but to head to the northern region in search of the traitor.
